Last month was the “How Full is Your Cup?” survey. Here are some interesting results from that survey:
93 students completed it.
- 50% males and 50% females.
- 76% SHS and 24% NHS students.
Most of you said that your cup is half full (67%). Gotta love that optimism! And for those who said your cup is half empty – I appreciate your realism.
As for what most impacts how you do in school, the responses were pretty spread out. The most common response was “hard work.” Next was the “attitude of friends” followed closely by “how good the school is.” I found it interesting that the attitude of friends was selected more often than parents. Hmmmm.
Lastly, we asked how strict your parents or guardians are on a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being the least strict and 10 being the most strict) and how strict you think they should be on a scale of 1-10. Here’s what you said – Most of you rated your parents or guardians a 5 in terms of their strictness, but the average was a 6.2. And as for what level of strictness you think your parents or guardians should be, the majority again said 5. So that tells me that most of you are fairly happy with your parental units.
Tune in again Monday to find out how some of you answered the question “If you had only 3 words to describe yourself, what would they be?” #PHLCMay2021
