Breakfast is the energy and brain booster everyone needs in the morning. Try to work in at least 3 different food groups for breakfast.
- Have a bowl of cereal with 1% or skim milk and a banana.
- A slice of leftover cheese pizza with a cup of fruit.
- A piece of string cheese, a handful of baby carrots and 4 ounces of 100% juice.
- Whip up a low-fat smoothie with 1%ย or skim milk and 1 cup of your frozen fruit plus a slice of whole-wheat toast with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter.
Be creative! Breakfast doesn’t have to be boring, just make it nutritious!
